Swipe has come up with one more smartphone in the budget range – Swipe Elite Sense in their popular Elite series. If you are looking for a smartphone with sleek design, premium feel, a good fingerprint scanner and is budget friendly, this one is a good option. We spent two weeks with this phone as the primary driver and here is our review of this device.

When you first see the phone, it looks classy with Champagne Gold color and it has been very nicely designed with metal body. At first, when we saw this smartphone we were very drawn to the sleek design and stylish look and the device is very compact to hold in our hands. The device is only 146 grams and 8.5mm thick which fits into our hands very easily. The rear has a laminated finish over the matte metal and it gives a good premium feel to hold. Despite being glossy, it does not smudge easily. Hence making it very practical.

The device  is designed explicitly with the needs of Indian users in mind, combines quality and robustness to deliver a premium smartphone experience at a price point that makes it very viable for the average Indian consumer. With 2500 mAh battery the power lasts long for about a day which is very decent. We were watching videos and playing games and there were no glitches. Still the power lasted for about a day. The power button and volume button is on the top left side of the phone and on the top right side you have the hybrid dual SIM slot. The fingerprint sensor is at the back and . It runs in Android Marshmallow 6.0. The back of swipe Elite Sense has a metallic finish with a shining glossy layer which makes the phone look premium.

Coming to the display part, the display is 5 inch HD display and it is very vivid and clear to view. The fonts looked pretty clear and videos looked good and it does not heat that much when we continuously play videos and games. The fingerprint sensor is very quick to sense the fingerprint and it unlocks in seconds. The fingerprint sensor also does some finger touch settings. using these settings, you can answer calls with just fingerprint, take photos with your fingerprint and also stop your alarm clock with It is not necessary to use registered fingerprint, but it works with any other finger also.

The device has hybrid dual sim slot with micro+nano/microSD and it supports 4G VoLTE and also also offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi, 3G, and 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, GPRS / EDGE, Bluetooth, and FM radio. The device also has the proximity sensor, accelerometer and ambient light sensor. We tried using Reliance JIO SIM and it worked very well and the call quality was very good.

The device is powered by 1.4 Ghz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with Adreno 308 GPU for the graphics. When we play games the device performs well and there is no heating problem. There were no lags while playing games. Browsing the internet is also a wonderful and smooth experience with this device. There were no lags when we do multitasking also.

Coming to the memory, the device comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory which can be extended upto 128 GB through microSD card slot. We tried using OTG in this device and the device does not support OTG.

Talking about the camera part, the device has 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and 8 MP front facing camera for selfies and video chats. The photos we took were decent. There weren’t any noticeable points of noise or distortion in the images and the colors popped out very well.The low light photos were slightly patchy and were not that good.The selfies also came out satisfactorily. The device also records better quality full HD videos.. Here are some pictures we took with it.

The device has a battery capacity of 2500 mAH, it is a lithium-ion battery and it lasted almost a day. There were no noticeable heating issues in the device. We tried using the device continuously on a video loop and on gaming sessions, there were no heating problems that we encountered with it.

ELITE Sense gives users absolute control with enhanced security feature by way of integrated fingerprint sensor that ensures that only the owner of the phone is able to unlock the phone. Its chip-level security encrypts and stores your FPS profiles securely.

Swipe Elite Sense is a good budget phone and it is useful for young people and those who want to use JIO SIM. It is a well designed phone with good display, better camera, decent battery charge and with the price of Rs. 7,499/- and it looks premium with its glossy finish and fits well within our hands. Very practical, affordable and no performance issues at all. Swipe is going the right direction with their new offerings. We will be watching them closely.
