LeEco yesterday brought in a new “made for India” device – The Le 1s Eco. And their partnerships with Eros Now and YuppTV have started delivering content. With the aim to provide its customers a coherent viewing experience on their phones, LeEco has been actively working with stakeholders in the Indian market to curate country-specific content for its users.
First, the new device that was launched yesterday. The Le 1s Eco
Le 1s Eco brings seamless content to users on-the-go. Le 1s Eco is the first “Blockbuster” Superphone by the company that comes integrated with pre-bundled content from Eros Now and YuppTV, offering consumers an all-encompassing entertainment experience (including music, sports, movies and TV) like no other through rich and bestselling content, specially customized for Indian audience.
Le 1s Eco comes at a price of Rs 10,999, with integrated content and almost all the same features as Le 1s, the company’s flagship killer. Similar to the Le 1s, the Le 1s Eco comes packed with top-notch specs and features including a powerful processor, amazing display, and premium camera.
Le 1s Eco has a Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. The 5.5-inch multi-touch device with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera gives users ample opportunity to capture all the beautiful moments in life. Powered by 1.85GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (ARM Cortex-A53, 64-bit) processor and 3GB of RAM, the Le 1s Eco allows people to work and play at the same time. The newest launch from LeEco runs on Android 5.0 with eUI for an optimal user experience. The phone is encased in an aviation-grade aluminum unibody, making the phone scratch proof.

With Le Vidi, users can catch the best of Indian movies now (powered by Eros Now). From enjoying the grand epic love saga – Bajirao Mastani, the latest blockbusters like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and other 2000+ titles and latest blockbusters across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and English, LeEco’s Superphones will undoubtedly offer consumers entertainment choices that will truly redefine Entertainment to Supertainment.
Live and Le Vidi will be available to all new Superphone users. Existing LeEco Superphone users can expect an OTA (Over the Air) software upgrade within May.
Furthermore, to ensure faster and seamless distribution of content to its users, LeEco India is establishing its in-house Cloud and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) in 10 cities across India, ensuring the best picture quality and minimum buffering time. With such strong back-end infrastructure, integrated technology and backed by the company’s years of experience in internet video, the company will bring radical changes to the sector in India, enabling loss-less premium broadcasts across devices.
LeEco Music
At the mega event, LeEco also announced its partnership with Hungama Music, India’s largest on-demand music destination, as its Music Service.
Hungama Music provides 3.5 million + tracks to choose from and the music are offered in 25 Indian languages. Users can even have a personalized playlist with their favorite songs on top and being recommended.
Besides that, LeEco India will also provide more than 50 live online concerts from around the world, streaming directly to all LeEco members with Superphones.
