It has been 2 months since the OnePlus 5 was launched and ever since the launch it has been my primary device. There have been many other impressive devices launched in the interim. But the OP5 is still my go to phone. Here are the three reasons why it is so
Performance
I am a power user of mobile phones. What that means is, very often, I can’t get to my computer/laptop and I do all my work on my mobile phone. Hence it becomes imperative that whatever a full blown computing device can do, my phone must be able to do. This includes the ability to run photoshop for image editing, support to write and edit blog posts, multiple tabs open on browsers and a ton of other productivity apps. And I forgot to add that all this needs to run at the same time without any hiccups. Then there are my social media apps which are integral to my work. I go from place to place and when in transit I carry around my multimedia library and games. My phone needs to be able to handle all this without stutter or lag. The OnePlus 5 takes all this running at the same time and still some more. When I switch from one app to other, there is absolutely no delay. Also it runs cool, there isn’t any noticeable heating of the phone. This is totally what I need in my phone, hence the OnePlus 5 is my primary device
Processor, Memory and Storage
When you take the OnePlus 5 purely on specs it beats many PCs and Laptops hands down. I have the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB Storage version. The processor is the Snapdragon 835. This combination of top processor, ample memory and the UFS 2.0 storage results in the phone being blazing fast and super efficient with resources. The Snapdragon 835 is very power efficient and this ensures that on a single charge you run very easily for a whole day and more. Hence primary choice for my phone
Dash Charge
I simply cannot stop telling you how good it is to have Dash Charge supported on the OnePlus 5. We all lead very hectic and busy lives. There are times when we forget to charge our phone overnight and when we are up in the morning, we need to juice the phone up really fast. This is where Dash Charge is literally a boon. The phone is up to a full day’s charge in under an hour. And when you are at work and need to top up the battery really fast, it is invaluable as a feature. The car charger with Dash Charge support is a nifty thing to have, when you are on the road, you can get all juiced up really fast.
These are the 3 key reasons why the OP5 is my primary device, what are yours?
