OnePlus 6 X Marvel Avengers Edition is all that you want and more

Avengers Edition

OnePlus has a winner in the OnePlus 6 and the phone has made cash registers ring like never before for the company. But OnePlus being who they are, do not rest on laurels for long. The Avengers Limited edition OnePlus 6 was on sale on Amazon yesterday and got sold out in less than half a minute. Another feather on the already fluffy cap. Let us try and look at this device in detail today.

First up, OnePlus has never done “me too”things so far and hence this is not just another phone that has a fancy branding and a back cover. The company has already done a great job with the previous OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition and this iteration shows that they are serious about taking their association with Disney-Marvel further. The phone is all that you want and more. There is a lot of thought and very solid technology that has gone behind it.

First the looks and the build. What does one think of when you say Avengers? A bunch of super powered people who wear fancy suits that sort of make them impervious to harm. The material that comes to one’s mind in that aspect is Kevlar and OnePlus has given this device a generous Kevlar/Carbon finish within the back glass. That alongwith the golden Alert Slider and the gold Avengers Insignia on the bottom of the back side sort of completes the whole feel.

The premium device comes with one of the strongest configuration combinations ever launched by OnePlus. It packs massive power with the latest in processors with 845 Snapdragon, muscled up with 256GB ROM + 8GB RAM, just like the most powerful superheroes assembled in for Avengers: Infinity War.

The color of the alert slider and the logo take inspiration from the powerful gauntlet of the mighty Thanos. Every superhero wears a suit so a uniquely-designed case, OnePlus 6 x Marvel Avengers Iron Man Case, has been specially created for the device. It has a very Tony Stark feel with the dual camera and the fingerprint scanner sort of completing Iron Man’s helmet on the back. Just pull the phone out and heads do turn in the room. This one is a guaranteed conversation starter, I can understand why the young ones want this.

Kyle Kiang, Head of Global Marketing, OnePlus said, “The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition was a culmination of our community’s request. The response we received to this limited edition was unprecedented. This time around, we wanted to do something bigger and better and what better way to do it than with the biggest movie franchises of all time. We are very proud to be able to give our community something unique again this year and are very happy to collaborate with Marvel Studios for the OnePlus 6 x Marvel Avengers Limited Edition.”

“We strive to work with best-in-class partners like OnePlus to connect with fans in the most creative and engaging ways possible. It’s the 10th anniversary for Marvel Studios and with this collaboration, we are giving consumers an exciting opportunity to make their favourite superheroes a part of their everyday lives,” said Bikram Duggal, Executive Director and Head – Studios & Chief Marketing Officer, Disney India.

Iron Man Back Cover

Beyond all the branding and the franchise loyalty, this is the most powerful hardware you will get in a phone and the 8 GB/256 GB combination makes it absolutely future-proof without any question.  Each phone comes with a golden medallion which, of which there are 6 types, each dedicated to an Avenger. OnePlus is running a contest as well, and if a group of people collect all 6, then were will be a reward

So if you ask me, OnePlus has outdone itself with this one, the OnePlus x Marvel’s Avengers Edition is definitely all that you wanted and more! Don’t take my word for it, get one yourself and you will agree!
