IBM Call for Code is an initiative run by IBM to nurture the talents of good coders and give them a platform that helps them to get their solution built and deployed to scale. Over the years, this initiative has gathered a lot of weight in the developer community. This year, the initiative is all set to attract more top-class talent and solve issues that have great impact.

Let’s take a look at the history of this program, Call for Code is a global campaign started by David Clark Cause and IBM has committed its association for 5 years. David Clark Cause launched Call for Code in 2018 alongside Founding Partner IBM. This multi-year global initiative is a rallying cry to developers to use their skills and mastery of the latest technologies, and to create new ones, to drive positive and long-lasting change across the world with their code. The second annual Call for Code Challenge theme is natural disaster preparedness and relief in the context of community health and well-being.

Imagine a sudden earthquake or a flash flood or a tsunami hitting unsuspecting people, if you or your friends have solutions that can help society to prevent damage and recover well, then this challenge is for you.
