Cygni Energy Private Limited, an IIT Madras incubatee company specializing in solar power backup and DC (Direct-current) Micro-grid solutions has launched New Products – Inverterless DUO and E-Rickshaw Battery were unveiled during the product launch event organized by Cygni Energy at Hilton Garden Inn, Lucknow. Shri. Rajeev Sharma, Head Electrotechnical Standardisation, Bureau of Indian Standards was the Chief Guest at the event.
Speaking at the event, Shri Rajeev Sharma said that “BIS has published Indian Standard IS 16711 on Low Voltage DC Distribution Systems which is the first standard on the subject published anywhere in the world and we are glad to see that Cygni products comply with BIS standards.”
Mr Venkat Rajaraman, CEO of Cygni talked about Cygni’s journey and also shared the company’s success story. He remarked that “Cygni Inverterless technology is the most innovative and cost-effective solution and is a step to further to empower Indian households”.
Cygni Inverterless DUO is the latest innovation of Cygni. It is a high power and high-efficient product with dual input and dual output options. This makes Inverterless DUO compatible with both AC and DC appliances. Sandeep Kumar, Branch Manager of Margdarshak financial services limited testified that before the installation of Solar DC solution at his office, he was paying Rs 1,500/month on electricity bill and from last 6 months he is using the Cygni’s solution and paying around Rs 400-600 to run the entire office which includes the appliances like 3 Fan, 2 Tube lights, 5 LED Bulbs, 2 Laptops, Wi-Fi router and Printer.
Mr. Raghuraman Chandrasekaran, Governing Body member of CLEAN (CLean Energy Access Network), an industry body that fosters strong ties with all stakeholders on access to clean energy remarked that “Cygni’s Inverterless Duo solution is ideally suited for homes, small offices & business establishments. This economical solar solution can also power productive appliances such as power looms, silk reeling machines, freezers and chillers.”
Cygni has demonstrated a test drive of E-Rickshaw with the Cygni lithium Ion battery, “Our 48V E-Rickshaw battery is more efficient and is also much lighter in weight as compared to traditional lead-acid battery and comes with an advanced battery management system” remarked Mr. Paramjit Singh Chief Operating Officer of Cygni. The event saw participation by eminent dignitaries that include, high ranking officials from various government agencies, key personnel from small offices & business establishments, MFIs, E-Rickshaw resellers, partners from multiple sectors, and customers of Cygni.
