Capgemini Wins NASSCOM Engineering and Innovation Excellence Awards 2021

Capgemini won three awards at the inaugural edition of the NASSCOM Engineering and Innovation Excellence Awards 2021. The event honoured the “Pioneers and Changemakers” in Indian Engineering, R&D.

To achieve the three-fold industry recognition Capgemini accelerated ideas into prototypes and scalable real-world solutions to help its clients get the future they want. Capgemini’s multiple product and software engineering labs, Centers of Excellence, Applied Innovation Exchange and recently launched 5G lab in India fuel the Group’s innovation and technology excellence capabilities, by bringing high impact technology to the world of products – driving Capgemini’s vision of Intelligent Industry.

Capgemini won awards in three categories: 

  • Service Delivery Excellence of the Year 2021 – Medical Device Engineering: Capgemini helped an American Medical Devices Manufacturer to introduce new-age connectivity features in its devices intended for cardiac rhythm management, neuromodulation, and electrophysiology faculties.
  • Social Impact Solution of the Year 2021 – Automated Blood Collection System: Capgemini assisted a leading blood management devices company to design and develop an automated blood collection system that can be used for convalescent plasma therapy for treating COVID 19 patients.
  • Next-Gen Product of the Year 2021 – 5G NR RAN: 5G NR RAN (Radio Access Network) and 5G ViNGC frameworks enable Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and global telecom service providers to accelerate their field deployment of 5G. This product caters to eMBB (Enhanced Mobile Broadband), URLLC (Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communications), Automotive/V2X, mMTC (Massive Machine Type Communications) standards of 5G technology.

The NASSCOM Engineering, Research & Development (ER&D) Council launched the inaugural edition of the Engineering R&D Showcase to demonstrate India’s role as a global leader in Engineering, R&D and recognize the extraordinary impact delivered by the Indian ER&D ecosystem comprising Global Capability Centers (GCCs), Engineering Services Providers (ESPs), Start-Ups, and India-based Manufacturing Companies, globally.
