Motorola One Vision Review: Great User Experience At A Brilliant Price

Motorola One Vision

Motorola has been one of the brands that brought in a lot of innovation in smartphones globally, they had taken the foot off the pedal in India to re-orient and they have come back with a good phone. The Motorola One Vision is their latest release. I spent considerable time with this device and here is my review of the Motorola One Vision.

The good folks at Motorola have gone back to the drawing board with the Motorola One Series. The One Power was a solid day to day phone with a huge battery. They have now followed that up with the One Vision. This one is a full package that has good camera chops, ample storage and smooth performance. They have put all this in a very neatly designed package that is very attractive to look at and definitely makes heads turn.

Imagine a movie experience so incredible that you get an edge-to-edge cinematic experience at your fingertips. This smartphone sports the first 21:9 Cinema Vision display with an in-screen camera. It gives you a widescreen experience on a 16 cm (6.3) Full HD+ display. It also boasts a 48 MP sensor with OIS and Night Vision mode, along with a 25 MP selfie camera with quad-pixel technology, to let you capture amazing photos even in the most challenging lighting conditions.

This thoughtful device has been designed keeping the current desires and needs of consumers in mind and comes with Android 9 Pie out of the box. In an elegant, narrow design that’s extremely comfortable to hold and use with one hand, the phone comes with an industry-first 21:9 CinemaVision 16 cm (6.3) Full HD+ display and an in-screen camera housed in a punched hole on top left corner. To maximize your movies and videos on the go and provide an edge-to-edge movie theater experience no matter where you are, the ultra-wide cinematic display is supported by an internal storage capacity of 128GB expandable up to 512GB to store all your photos, songs and movies.

The phone comes with 4GB of memory and a very dependable octa-core Exynos 9609 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, Motorola one vision also lets you choose from beautiful 4D Corning Gorilla Glass gradient colorings like Sapphire and Bronze — a stylish look for the modern consumer. The light dances off the rear of the phone in a very attractive pattern and when you pull the phone out in public, heads definitely turn in your direction. The design and performance can give even flagship devices a tough run for their money. I am loving how Moto has their Mojo back. Every person who saw or used the phone was impressed with it.

The phone has a 48 MP rear camera system that is supported by AI. By combining four pixels into one large 1.6µm pixel, the 48 MP sensor delivers four times the light sensitivity. The 48 megapixel (MP) rear camera sensor also comes equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) and the new Night Vision mode. OIS compensates against blurred photos and videos, while Night Vision allows you to snap bright, sharp photos showing more detail in darker lighting conditions. AI features like Smart composition, Auto Smile capture, Portrait lighting, Shot optimization and Google lens integrations help you get better quality pictures and allow you to even search objects and landscapes at one single tap. There are tons of innovative camera features like High res zoom, Live filters, Cutout, Cinemagraph, Slow motion video, Time-lapse video, hyper-lapse video and panorama to give your pictures and videos the creative touch.

The 25 MP front-facing camera on motorola one vision gives you a choice of pixel sizes depending on the situation, ensuring you snap high-quality photos every time. In bright light you can capture 25 MP selfies with incredible detail. When you’re stuck with low light, 1.8µm Quad Pixel technology lets you capture incredibly sharp selfies. With portrait mode, add an artistic blur effect in the background for professional-looking selfies and enjoy automatic beautification at the same time.

In my usage, the cameras on the rear and front delivered consistently good pictures. Quad pixel tech on both sides with pixel binning is a definite plus. The AI automatically senses the scene and suggests what mode and setting to use so that photos are crisp and clear. Here are some pictures that I took with the phone.

Despite the device being part of the Android One program, Moto has persisted with Moto Experiences in this one. With moto actions, your simple gestures make everyday interactions easier. Whether it’s a twist of your wrist to open the camera, chopping down twice to turn on the flashlight, navigating using the newly redesigned one button navigation, or taking a screenshot with a touch, you can use your favorite features in a way that’s natural and intuitive. Moto display gives you a quick preview of notifications and updates, so you can see what’s going on without unlocking your phone. This is a definite plus of are a heavy user and are looking to get things done fast and neat.

128 GB of storage on motorola one vision ensures there’s plenty of room for songs, videos, and movies, plus you can add up to 512GB with a microSD card. That’s thousands of files and endless HD entertainment thanks to motorola one vision’s Universal Flash Storage. UFS gives you ultra fast performance and seamless multitasking capability in one powerful device. I used it for a considerable amount of streaming and media consumption and I have to say that the phone exceeded my expectations of performance and speed.

Motorola One Vision Bottom

The motorola one vision is priced at INR 19,999 and that is a great price considering the whole package that the phone delivers. The Motorola One series has starting punching above it’s weight now. And I am very happy for the brand that invented the cellular phone.
