Nokia Power Earbuds Lite Review: Good Design And Very Good Sound

Nokia Power Earbuds Lite

One of the three devices that HMD Global launched this month is the Nokia Power Earbuds Lite. The market for accessories especially in the wireless earbuds category is on the ascend in the recent times and wireless earbuds are now an essential accessory that everyone wants and needs. I have spent time with the Nokia Power Earbuds Lite and here is my review.

When it comes to wireless earbuds,  there are three important factors that I look into as a reviewer and a user. They are – comfortable fit for long wear, durability and sound quality. And these are the factors that I am going to look into in this review too.

Let us talk about design and crafting before we get into that. Nokia Power Earbuds Lite bears the hallmark of the Nokia design team in the way it has been thought out and crafted. The design is good and it fits into the ear very snugly. I had it on for roughly six hours when I was on a road trip and there was absolutely no discomfort in my ear. The earbuds are good if you want to workout with them on. They are water resistant and hence you don’t have to worry about sweating it out with them. The charging box also has nice curves and has all the bells and whistles that are now customary with charging boxes today. Overall, good design and good crafting. Ticks all boxes there.

They come with Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity support. HMD Global has bundled  a charging case that packs a 600mAh battery and has a USB Type-C port for charging. The case delivers a total of up to 35 hours of backup.

The Nokia Power Earbuds Lite measure 25×23.8x23mm, while the bundled charging case comes with the dimensions of 68x36x31mm. All in all, a full featured tech package. Let us now get to the sound review.

Coming to the sound quality. It sounds noticeably bass-oriented. This works well if you like rhythm and you are into EDM, Rap and Hip-Hop, I had hours of enjoyment with these buds. Isolation is solid. Please remember though, this is highly dependent on your use of properly fitting ear tips. Once you find the right fit, you’ll see how very well the earbuds set insulates you from the environment. Not only does give you an excellent low-end response, it also means you’re less likely to increase the volume to dangerous levels that can damage your ears.

Setup and pairing was relatively easy and I was able to get it up and running in less than 5 minutes. I also like the fact that it uses USB Type-C for charging. On my scale, the earbuds are a comfortable fit, long wear and use are a cinch, the sound quality is comparable with the contemporary headsets available in the market.

Verdict

At a price of Rs.3,599, the Nokia Power Earbuds Lite is a combination of Good Design and Very Good Sound Experience. Definitely recommendable.
